Annual gathering

EIRA Gathering

The annual convergence of the movement

What it is

A structured annual moment in the life of the movement

EIRA Gathering is not designed as a conference, summit or awards night. It is the annual point at which the movement comes into physical contact with itself: ideas enter dialogue, recognition gains context, and relationships are strengthened through direct exchange.

Why it exists

To create a serious setting for dialogue, connection and recognition

The Gathering gives EIRA a recurring institutional moment. It enables the community to meet across disciplines, brings recognition into a shared public context, and provides a setting where trust is reinforced through presence rather than declaration.

01

Dialogue

A space for thoughtful exchange on Social Impact in Health across perspectives, sectors and roles.

02

Connection

A setting where relationships deepen through direct conversation, shared attention and institutional proximity.

03

Recognition

A moment where meaningful impact is recognised within the wider movement rather than in isolation.

What happens

A clear sequence of exchange across the day

The Gathering is organised around a simple architecture that makes its purpose immediately legible.

01

Conversations

Dialogue on Social Impact in Health shaped by reflection, inquiry and serious listening rather than performance.

02

Ecosystem connections

Encounters across institutions, disciplines and generations that strengthen the relational fabric of the movement.

03

Recognition

The public context in which impact is acknowledged and placed within a broader shared mission.

The Gathering is where the movement is experienced in real terms: through presence, exchange and the visible quality of the people who choose to take part in it.

What it creates

Institutional trust strengthened through real-world contact

For EIRA, the value of the Gathering is not only symbolic. It creates a recurring environment in which credibility is reinforced through who is present, how exchange happens, and how recognition is held within a serious collective setting.

That matters because the movement depends on more than good ideas. It depends on trusted relationships, credible judgement and a shared sense of purpose that can endure beyond a single meeting.

Visual record

The atmosphere of the Gathering

A restrained visual chapter showing the human texture of the Gathering: exchange, recognition and shared attention in practice.

Role within EIRA

The annual point where the movement aligns in public

Within the wider EIRA architecture, the Gathering connects what is otherwise distributed across the year. It gives physical form to the movement’s intellectual, relational and recognition layers.

  • Thinkers Perspectives and dialogue meet in a shared setting.
  • Awards Recognition is situated within the wider movement, not treated as a standalone ceremony.
  • Community Relationships are renewed and extended through direct contact.
